Preview of Inland Championships - Ullswater YC - 1/2/3 May by Ian Sinclair

Seven races are planned with the first race starting at 13.00hrs on Saturday, the final race will be completed early afternoon on Monday 3rd May. Prize giving will follow as soon as possible after the final race.
The club house will be open from around midday, Friday 30th April, food and refreshments including bar facilities will be available from Friday evening. Hot food will be available from breakfast through to evening dinner, Saturday, Sunday and Monday up to prize giving.
On site camping will be permitted, with a small charge of £5/ night / tent. Caravans and Motor homes can park on a small site a short walk from the club.

ATTENTION TO GOLD FLEET COMPETITORS.
CLUB TEAM PRIZE!!
Encourage SILVER and BRONZE fleet sailors to enter, this will give your club the opportunity to compete for the coveted team prize. The rule is: Only one Gold fleet boat per team of three club boats, teams are to be nominated before the first race. A club can have more than one team.

Finally, don’t forget to enter early to avoid the late entry fee, closing date for normal entries 20th April.

ALTERNATIVE DIRECTIONS FROM JUNCTION 40 M6
In order to avoid the Pooley Bridge village centre follow these alternative directions.
Leave M6 at junction 40 Penrith turn off.
Take the A66 East signed Brough (note that Ullswater is signed WEST at this point)
After about half a mile there is a major roundabout. Take the A6 SOUTH signed Shap.
Travel through Eamont Bridge, to the mini roundabout.
Turn RIGHT signed Pooley Bridge B5320.
Travel for 4 miles passing through Tirril.
As you approach Pooley Bridge bear left signed Howtown and Martindale.
(if you miss this don’t worry, turn right at the mini roundabout)
U.Y.C. is on the LEFT after approx 1.7 miles.
